Supporting Success for All Through Improved Learning Spaces: The Latest Improvements Across Hales Valley Trust

Several Hales Valley School schools underwent significant transformation during the summer holiday period, creating more welcoming and inviting learning environments for pupils returning in the autumn term.
Gig Mill Primary School, in Stourbridge, has a newly redesigned library stocked with a wide variety of fiction, non-fiction and poetry books. The warm and comfortable environment aims to support our reading curriculum and help pupils discover the joy of reading, from our youngest learners in nursery who engage in weekly library visits, through to our fluent readers in Key Stage 2.
Meanwhile, Hurst Hill Primary in Bilston, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, proudly opened its new nursery space and Pathway Learning Centre. The new PLC has been thoughtfully designed to meet the needs of pupils accessing support through Inclusive Pathways referrals, and require additional help to thrive and succeed. Head of School, Becki Weaver, commented: “these developments reflect our ongoing commitment to inclusion, early intervention and ensuring that every child and family within our community receives the support they need to flourish.”
Finally, Woodside Primary School in Dudley, are delighted that their purpose built SEND outdoor area is now complete, providing a wonderful space for the children in Woodside’s SEND base to learn, play and develop.
As we look ahead to 2027, we remain focused on continuously improving all seven Trust primary schools and delivering our vision of Success for All.
