Our SCITT routes into teaching are school-led training courses which gives you the chance to learn the job ‘on the job’ in a school. You work as part of the teaching team from day one learning from experienced, highly skilled colleagues and immediately put your new skills into practice.
The SCITT programmes will allow successful trainees to achieve Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) as well as a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
Here at Hales Valley Teaching Hub, we offer two different routes into teacher training.
The two route we offer in partnership with Haybridge Alliance School Centred Based Initial Teacher Training and Bath Spa University are:-
-
Primary Postgraduate Certificate of Education award (Level 7) which has a total of 60 Masters level credits plus Qualified Teacher Status.
-
Primary Early Years (3 -7 years) Postgraduate Certificate of Education award (Level 7) which has a total of 60 Masters level credits plus Qualified Teacher Status.
Successful applicants will have access to teaching placements within one of our trust schools or partner schools. The teaching experiences give trainees the opportunity to work alongside outstanding classroom practitioners.
